EXHIBIT DEVELOPER, MIT Museum, to assume responsibility for supporting the development of museum exhibits through exhibit research, content, and experience development. Duties will include researching educational, scientific, and technological content; developing and documenting exhibit experience concepts and their operation; advocating for educational and visitor experience goals as represented through design; writing and editing exhibit copy; assisting with exhibit prototyping and conduct evaluation; developing project reports and other communication materials; researching exhibit resources and assisting with development of exhibit ideas and programs; researching, tracking, and managing artifacts as needed; developing scripts and working closely with multimedia producer; ensuring that exhibits are experientially engaging and scientifically accurate; project managing logistics and communication with internal teams and outside vendors as assigned; and meeting project budgets and schedules. Will report to the director of galleries and exhibitions.

REQUIRED: B.A./B.S. (M.A./M.S. preferred) in science, math, engineering, science education, social sciences, or a field related to informal teaching and learning; willingness and ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with researchers and nonspecialists; a minimum of three years of experience developing museum exhibitions, preferably in interactive science or art environments; excellent research, organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills; and excellent technical proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PPT, and Google Docs.
