PARTNERSHIPS DIRECTOR, SOLVE, MIT Technology Review, to spearhead the fund-raising and partnerships strategy for Solve, recruiting and managing relations with sponsors and partners for all of its activities and events. Will report to the executive director and work with internal and external stakeholders to design Solve’s fund-raising and partnerships strategy, including outreach, pricing, and packages; lead and oversee all prospect, sponsor, and partner relations, providing best-in-class service throughout the experience; generate leads and manage negotiations with interested sponsors and partners to close contracts; deliver sponsor and partner multimillion dollar revenue target; and oversee staff (one to two in FY 2017) and consultants.

REQUIRED: a minimum of eight years’ experience in project management, with at least five years’ experience in partnership, business development, or fund-raising for events, social impact, or nonprofit organizations; at least two years’ experience managing staff; proven ability to effectively build relations with world-class corporate, foundation, and individual partners and sponsors; proven ability to deliver multimillion dollar annual targets, designing and closing sponsor packages of $250,000-$1million+; extensive contacts in relevant corporations and foundations that can be utilized immediately; experience working in a complex multilayered environment with multiple stakeholders; strong leadership skills; strong verbal and written communications skills; and a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).
