ART/DESIGN ASSISTANT, MIT Technology Review, to apply strong design skills and creativity to print and digital design, production, and editorial content to the print magazine, website, and a variety of digital and other platforms.  Will work closely with the designer and design colleagues on the design, direction, and maintenance of the website, bimonthly magazine, and other design projects; collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization; and represent the design department on a variety of projects including print, web, video, and social media. These include supporting marketing, events, editorial and ad sales.   Will also assist with the hiring, managing, tracking, and paperwork of freelance artists.

REQUIRED: a portfolio that demonstrates a strong grasp of style, typography, and design; strong organizational and communication skills; experience with web and print production in a Mac environment; knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InCopy; ability to think creatively, brainstorm multiple concepts, and develop ideas iteratively; strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines; and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.  Experience working in print or digital media and an interest in technology would be a real plus. A BFA or higher is preferred.  Job #15138-5
