HEAD OF AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT, MIT Technology Review (TR), to help connect Technology Review content to an audience craving tech news and insights that will keep them ahead of the curve on what’s current, relevant, new, and innovative.  Will serve as the leading expert in generating traffic--uncovering, sharing, and utilizing insights on user behavior. The audience engaged spans tech-industry decision-makers and deal-brokers to tech-follower and tech-obsessives who thrive on emerging technology.  Will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of MIT TR’s audience development initiatives; audience acquisition, engagement, and segmentation as well as brand reach; making sure initiatives meet goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) while identifying growth opportunities and developing and delivering plans to capitalize on those opportunities; and profiling personas and demographics and driving initiatives to reach those groups.  Will report to the head of marketing.

REQUIRED:  a background in marketing, business development, or similar vertical; encyclopedic knowledge of and proven track-record scaling audience acquisition, engagement, and retention in alignment with return on investment (ROI) and business goals; ability to write SEO-friendly headlines that maximize traffic and engagement; and knowledge of what resonates with an audience and an understanding of what makes people want to share content.  Seek an experienced digital pro who is able to use a variety of distribution channels to grow and blaze new trails in search of an audience.  Job #14880-P
