Posting Description

FINANCIAL & PROGRAMS ADMINISTRATOR, will focus on day-to-day financial activities and provide backup for other operational activities for both the Digital Plus Programs (DPP) and Corporate Programs (CP) teams within PE; assisting the Assistant Director in performing various financial activities, including managing accounts for DPP and CP, developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts, creating cost objects, submitting faculty payment requests, submitting vendor payments, reconciling accounts, conducting special financial analysis, generating reports, and documenting standard operating procedures; and performing financial duties in support of these programs and complex and diverse duties, along with special projects in support of the Assistant Director of Digital Plus Programs and Senior Director of Global, Digital Plus Programs & Corporate Programs. MIT Professional Education (PE), under the School of Engineering, offers a suite of education programs and modalities to serve the continuing educational needs of global professionals.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of accounting or finance experience; strong analytical, financial, and organizational skills; working knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Office, preferably Salesforce; ability to work effectively in a bustling, fast-paced environment; excellent time management skills, ability to track multiple projects simultaneously, and document timelines and processes; superb customer service skills; strong interpersonal skills; and ability to interact diplomatically and professionally with sensitive and confidential information related to faculty, staff, course revenue, and participants. PREFERRED: Master’s degree and ability to be a cross-cultural communicator who has worked in global environments.
