Posting Description

COMMUNICATION MANAGERAbdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to join the Policy & Communication vertical, working closely with J-PAL's team. The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a center at MIT with affiliated professors who conduct randomized evaluations of social policies aimed at poverty reduction. J-PAL’s three core activities are research, training, and policy and communications. In addition to the Global Office at MIT, J-PAL has seven regional offices: Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, MENA, North America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Will provide organization-wide leadership on digital communications strategy and delivery, brand management, and media relations.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Economics, International Relations or a related field; a solid understanding of global development and/or social and economic issues and practices; a minimum of four years of experience managing digital communications, preferably for a non-profit and/or in the field of development; and proven ability to keep an organization’s digital communications responsive and on message.
