Posting Description

MANAGER, CAMPUS SAFETY & SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to lead the physical campus security systems, ID card credentialing, and MIT Police technology infrastructure; oversee strategic vendor partnerships and a team of security infrastructure engineers to ensure a resilient, continuously improving security posture; drive system performance, incident response, and long-term planning by integrating emerging technologies; foster solid community and stakeholder relationships while maintaining highly available, mission-critical systems in order to safeguard campus assets and support the commitment to safety and innovation.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of seven years’ experience in computer science, information systems, security technology, or a related field; proven expertise managing enterprise physical security systems and infrastructure; Proficiency with Genetec, Hanwha, Axis, Bosch, HID technologies, and network/system integration; solid vendor management, leadership, and decision-making skills; excellent communication skills and ability to lead, mentor, and develop team. PREFERRED: Experience with large-scale security modernization, cloud-based security solutions, and higher education or research environments; and certifications in physical security systems or project management.
