MIT provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the Institute reasonably expects to pay for a full time position at the time of posting (part time positions are pro-rated). The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements. Posting Description

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, MITES SATURDAYS, MITES, will oversee the administration and execution of the program with a collaborative team during the academic year. Responsibilities include logistics, planning, staffing, training, evaluation, student recruitment and selection, and communication and engagement with stakeholders such as parents, students, alumni, vendors, and speakers while adhering to the MIT policies regarding working with minors. The MITES Saturdays Program in MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering, and Science within the MIT School of Engineering is a rigorous, 16-session, STEM enrichment program focused on exposing ~135 7th-12th grade students from Boston, Cambridge, and Lawrence, MA, to science and engineering fields, while supporting each to reach their highest academic potential.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or education and a minimum of three years of related experience in program development, program planning, program coordination, and/or education. PREFERRED: Master’s degree or equivalent; experience at MIT; a minimum of one year managing program staff and direct reports; proven track record of fostering community, belonging, and respect in workplaces and academic settings; exceptional organizational, attention to detail, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills; strong leadership and facilitation skills; strong written and interpersonal communication skills, particularly in Spanish; and experienced with high school students and leading undergraduates, graduate students, and professionals.

This position has a varied schedule with evening and weekend hours, including leading programmatic activities on Saturdays when the program is in session.
