MIT provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the Institute reasonably expects to pay for a full time position at the time of posting (part time positions are pro-rated). The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements. This pay range represents base pay only and does not include any other benefits or compensation.

PROGRAM/PROJECT COORDINATOR, Lemelson-MIT Program(LMIT), reporting to the Executive Director, organizes and performs day-to-day operational activities for grant funded initiatives and/or projects, including any combination of administration, finance, information technology (IT), compliance, communications and outreach, and other functions; applies technical or content knowledge to achieve program/project deliverables; serves as a resource to others regarding program(s) and/or project(s) activities and processes; and contributes insight to program/project plans and strategy.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field; a minimum of two years of academic administration or business experience preferably within a project management role; excellent written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through emails, calls, videoconferencing, and face-to-face interactions with others; proficiency with MS Office program; and familiarity with Google docs, Slack, Salesforce, SAP and project management software, HubSpot, and Dropbox; be organized and detail-oriented; experience and/or comfort with managing multiple projects simultaneously; a full working knowledge of general office practices and procedures; be resourceful, curious, and solutions-oriented; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; be able to prioritize and work well under the pressure of deadlines; and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position has a hybrid schedule, working three days on campus and two days remotely.

This position requires the ability to work some nights and weekends during LMIT events.
