Posting Description

SENIOR FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR, School of Engineering (SoE), to administer and oversee complex financial activities in the Dean's Office. With the understanding of strategic and operational objectives, the Senior Financial Administrator will oversee financial tasks at the SoE Dean’s Office level, including financial monitoring and transactions related to the annual general institute budget process, faculty chairs, fellowships, sponsored research, faculty sabbaticals and professional leaves, and special projects; work closely with the SoE’s Director of Administration and Finance to develop financial systems solutions; prepare, review and submit financial analyses and reports related to SoE's annual budget; develop and implement financial policy, procedure, and process improvements; and advise, train, and educate DLCI staff and management on complex financial activities.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree; a minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance; initiative and the ability to work independently to solve problems with minimal supervision; ability to adhere to tight deadlines; strong interpersonal, communication, analysis, and organizational skills; ability to learn changing technologies; knowledge of federal guidelines; advanced knowledge of Excel, and SAP or similar accounting package; and relational database skills. PREFERRED: Experience with NIMBUS, COGNOS, Quick Base, Kuali COEUS and MIT experience. Job #25123-8
