MEDICAL ASSISTANT (MA), PRIMARY CARE, MIT Health, will be responsible for assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during and between office visits and other tasks consistent with training and skills; be the primary liaison contact between clinical staff and the patient; preparing for the daily operations of patient visits as well as implementing key activities; leading the twice daily huddle sessions to ensure all pertinent patient information is communicated between all clinical staff as well as having all appropriate materials available so that care is delivered effectively and efficiently; and managing HealtheLife requests, ensuring the patient comprehends medical treatment information provided by each provider, as well as using the best medium to follow up with each patient to ensure treatment plan compliance.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program or has obtained a Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA) and a minimum of two years of experience working in a physician office; a current active BLS certification (with in-person component); excellent critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, diplomacy, organizational, and problem-solving skills; phlebotomy skills; maintain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills; and ability to prioritize tasks in a complex and busy environment and see them through to completion. Working Conditions: Ability to move 15 pounds or more, including but not limited to the placement of infants and children on examination tables or weighing scales.

Salary Range: $48,045 - $83,375, final salary determined by MIT’s compensation team based on the skills and experience of the person hired.
