Posting Description

SENIOR ASSISTANT, ADMINISTRATION AND AUDIT OPERATIONS, Audit Division (Division), to provide comprehensive office and administrative support to the Institute Auditor, Senior Associate Audit Director, management team, and Division staff; exercise independent judgment and anticipates needs; liaise between the Division and a variety of organizations within and outside MIT; provide comprehensive calendar management and meeting scheduling for the Institute auditor; and assist with preparations for risk and audit committee meetings (in person and virtually) at least six times per year, including planning and coordinating logistics and compiling and distributing materials and related reporting.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High school diploma or its equivalent; a minimum of five years of administrative assistant or related office experience; excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and word processing skills; keen attention to detail; flexibility; discretion with confidential/sensitive information/data; experience performing multiple projects concurrently and working with different team members and management at all levels and from varied backgrounds; proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Zoom, Dropbox, and Visio and willingness to learn new software (e.g., CampusPress); comfort working with hybrid-flex work environment; support for the division’s mission and the Institute’s objectives; ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and management at all levels and from varied backgrounds; effectively interface with external constituents at all levels; learn quickly and work within critical time demands; and problem solve and set and continuously reevaluate dependent priorities under pressure. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree; familiarity with SAP, Tableau, and Qualtrics; familiarity with cloud-based applications; and experience in academia. Job #24765-6

Hourly rate: $32.00-$37.00

Schedule: 35 hours/week. This position is expected to work on site one day per week in addition to one all hands day, monthly.
