Posting Description

FINANCIAL ASSISTANT 2, Architecture, provides complex diverse financial support for a the Department of Architecture, including reviewing, processing, and/or tracking financial transactions; monitors cost object activity; processes Student Hourly/TA/RA appointments; acts a resource for projects at the departmental level; works on a variety of tasks, in addition to taking the primary role in processing visas for international scholars and faculty; performs varied, high volume processing duties to aid in the timely and efficient payment of goods and services; monitors activity in cost objects for a variety of accounts within the Department, with special attention to our student groups. Maintain records of paid transactions in addition to invoice and payment processing, reimbursements, reconciliation of accounts and budget oversight; prepares financial budget spreadsheets for student organizations and works directly with the leaders of these groups to oversee spending over the course of the academic year; process invoices/RFPs and travel expense reports; interacts with vendors to answer questions and resolve issues for outstanding invoices; leads creating and submitting visa sponsorship applications by collecting all the necessary data, assisting in the process of application and approval process for Visiting Scholars by answering inquiries and collaborating with the International Scholars Office; leads the processing of Visiting Scholar and post-doctoral fellow appointments by collecting all appropriate paperwork.

Job Requirements
