Posting Description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, to work closely with Principal Investigators, Research Scientists, Post-Doctoral Associates, Graduate Students, and external collaborators on ongoing research studies involving both data collection of existing tests and the evaluation of new tests; be responsible for a variety of technical, training and administrative assistance activities supporting the research team through all phases of the project; work on language-based simulation and control; assist in performing research experiments in the field of LLM, simulation, and control; collect and analyze experimental data; assist Principal Investigator and other collaborators with research development; participate and assist in technical writing for publication; participate and assist in proposal writing; assist in presenting research results at conferences and other institutions; develop and maintain research project websites; operate specialized equipment for experimentation; and other duties as needed or required.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in computer science, robotics or other relevant field; a minimum of two years of relevant research experience (which may include experience gained as an undergraduate); demonstrated interest in robotics, autonomy, LLMs Proficiency with AI tools; excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present information in small groups and write clear and concise research reports; and ability to work in teams and contribute to group projects.
