Posting Description

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR, MIT Sloan Martin Trust Center, will join the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship to assist in the management and completion of financial tasks and reporting obligations; manage the verification of purchase card transactions, monthly reconciliation of the Center's expenditures, processing of travel reports, set up and closing of purchase orders, input of journal vouchers, and the completion of reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual review; assist in the development of processes and instruction for expense management; coordinate with departments such as the Vice President for Finance office, Travel Support, and Buy2Pay in the execution and management of all internal accounting processes; manage special projects as assigned; and be expected to critically evaluate financial processes and work to streamline and simplify those processes.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of relevant financial experience; service-oriented with ability to perform hands-on work in a team-based work group with complex needs and varying levels of experience; solid financial systems experience; excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and ability to handle confidential information and/or issues using discretion. Salary range: $56,600 - $74,520- $92,440, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity. Generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
