Posting Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ALUMNI CLASS CONNECTIONS, Alumni Association Alumni Relations, reports to and works with the Director of Class Connections to develop engagement strategies and provide class officer support for classes that are 11-30 years out from graduation by managing reunions and mini-reunions; works closely with class volunteers to build community and increase class communications; and collaborates with the Director on Explore MIT Program, Tech Reunions Programming, and Class Officer training and elections.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in alumni relations or volunteer leadership development in a non-profit setting; able to recruit, motivate, train and manage volunteers; data analysis, marketing and/or public relations skills; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a diverse service-oriented environment; strong organization, written and oral communication skills; possess initiative; be detail-oriented, efficient, analytical, curious, creative and able to handle diversified tasks concurrently; able to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines, without compromising quality, in a demanding, high-volume work environment; highly professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information; proficiency with computers and standard applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); expertise or willingness to learn Hivebrite platform. PREFERRED: knowledge of Advance Web or other enterprise fundraising system and web presentation software such as Zoom. Job #24598-6

This is a hybrid position with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
