Posting Description

PROGRAM MANAGER, Schwarzman College of Computing (SCC), will serve as principal aide to the SCC Assistant Dean and faculty leads on corporate programs (i.e. MIT Science Hub, Google, etc.); be responsible for proactive and productive relationship management with member companies for multiple programs; perform complex client management activities ensuring the success of initiatives; collaborate with SCC leadership; support membership development and retention, administration of corporate programs, sponsored research programs, students, community building, and public engagement activities; and act as point of contact for the programs assigned and other college-wide programs.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; a minimum of four years of experience working with business or industry in project or program management; expertise relating to faculty and managing relationships with senior industry executives or officials; proven ability to understand, communicate, and present complex business and technical information in sales, service, or government contexts and identify solutions; and robust program management skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and keep teams, projects, and deliverables on track, evaluating and revising plans and methods as needed in a fast-paced environment; excellent organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail. PREFERRED: MBA, M.S. or PhD in science, engineering, management, or another advanced degree; experience in academic research-sponsored programs, including understanding of sponsor interactions related to research or education missions; demonstrated expertise to relate to for-profit audiences, the U.S. Government’s compliance requirements on the performance of fundamental research at a non-profit institute of higher education; and knowledge and experience at MIT.
