Posting Description

MEETING PLANNER/GUEST SERVICES, MIT Endicott House (MITEH), to join MIT’s conference center, with the primary focus of maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction. Will plan and coordinate all aspects of meetings; communicate information utilizing MITEH event and property management software; prepare and distribute all pertinent materials internally and externally; provide client assistance and staff direction to ensure proper execution of meetings; perform administrative and clerical tasks associated with meeting planning and provide support to senior management; attend, in-person or via zoom, a weekly banquet event order (BEO) function review meeting; staff the guest reception desk as needed; assist guests with check in and check out; provide switchboard coverage; and perform concierge services and assist guests during their stay to make the most pleasant experience.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of administrative or event support experience; excellent communication and organizational skills; and the ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently. PREFERRED: hospitality experience; and associate degree in hospitality management or business. Job #24516-5

Hiring range: $24.00 - 29.00/hour

This is a part-time (32 hours/week) position that has the potential to become full-time.  The schedule will be based on business needs and include working evenings and weekends.
