Posting Description

EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT MANAGER, Center for Advanced Urbanism (LCAU), to cultivate relationships with members, sponsors, and prospect companies to bring in funding and build relationships; drive faculty engagement with the LCAU, connecting them to relevant funding opportunities; join a team of researchers working on the design and planning of large-scale, complex metropolitan environments, as an integral part of an energetic and growing team; and oversee the LCAU’s external collaborators and serve as a central connector and information source on all outreach and research activities between collaborators and faculty across MIT.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; a minimum of 2 years of experience in industry relations, development, project management or related field; proven ability to function as an effective team member; strategic thinking; outstanding written and oral presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate complex information and funding priorities; comfort working in a highly diverse and international environment while building productive working relationships with a wide range of people; proficiency in standard office software like the Microsoft Office Suite, Dropbox, and Google Suite; and ability to deal with confidential information and issues using discretion. Occasional night and weekend hours required.

Some travel may be required.

This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal, dependent upon funding and progress.
