Posting Description

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIST, Open Learning, to test operation of key platform features in the xPRO courseware platform in Production version of platform and test candidate servers; assist in the collection of assets for updating documentation for learner and staff facing FAQs; test Internal Platform Learner Grade Reporter Systems; create multiple user aliases to evaluate tools that require multi-learner systems for testing; report findings to xPRO Senior Educational Technologist and Program Manager; evaluate course performance and refine course reruns based on learner, customer, and faculty feedback; create and identify new solutions, technologies, and strategies for adapting all content into the technology platform that delivers MIT xPRO programs; ensure all programs are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; perform Quality Assurance and beta testing for online platforms and tools; develop and maintain platform documentation; and serve as high tier support for issues that develop within the xPRO platform and systems.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree required, preferably in Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Education, Informational Technology, or related field; minimum 2 years of related experience in education administration, human services, or teaching; and proven problem-solving ability, with the ability to adapt to constraints both in learning objectives and technological limitations to deliver exceptional technology experiences. This is a hybrid position, with in office work required 1 – 3 days/week.

Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000, final salary determined by MIT’s compensation team based on the skills and experience of the person hired.
