Job Description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, COMPUTER VISION AND MACHINE LEARNING, Mechanical Engineering (MechE), to join The 77 Lab and perform research in the fields of computer vision and deep learning. The 77 Lab (https://the77lab.mit.edu/) is a collaborative research environment with numerous ongoing projects in robotics, rehabilitation robotics, agricultural robotics, and digital transformation. Will work on computer vision, sensing, and deep learning with an emphasis on implementation on mobile edge devices (smartphones, tablets) estimating the clinical score of patients from video images. The project is a multidisciplinary project that will require collaboration with other scientists, postdoctoral associates, graduate students, and engineers.

Job Requirements

Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field (at the time of hire); strong track record of academic publications; research experience with computer vision and machine learning; experience designing and training deep learning models (CNNs, RCNNs, Fast RCNNs, etc.) for computer vision using MATLAB, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or cuDNN; and proficiency with software engineering using C/C++, OpenCV, MATLAB, and Python.
