Job Description

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW, School of Science, to join the School of Science Postdoctoral Fellowship program: A three-year fellowship that includes an academic leadership module comprised of workshops and seminars on a variety of topics pertaining to career advancement and mentorship by one or more School of Science faculty.                                        

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: current Ph.D. or expected in 2025 and scholarly expertise in a related area; scientific excellence as demonstrated by outstanding scientific talent, and originality, with an exceptional ability for innovation and cross disciplinary research. Job #24427

This cohort-based fellowship program is expected to begin in September 2025. Appointments may be extended with funding from the department and/or PI, subject to MIT’s policies on postdoctoral appointments and timelines.

Candidates will need to submit a CV, and a 1-2 page research proposal.

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of School of Science faculty and must be submitted through the MIT Jobs portal. The deadline for applications is November 8, 2024.

Stipend of $85,000, relocation allowance of $5,000, research allowance of $15,000, plus employee benefits such as health insurance.
