Posting Description

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, Sloan School of Management-Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship, to serve as the principal aide to the managing director (MD) and executive director (ED) of the center. Will represent the MD and ED as much as possible, leveraging their time and making them more productive to the benefit of the center, Sloan, and MIT.  Responsibilities include leading, directing and supporting daily and long-term, high-impact activities; advising the MD and ED on critical matters and ensuring they, and other relevant parties, are briefed on events and opportunities to advance the center's mission; supporting the MD and ED in representing the center to a wide variety of internal and external constituencies, including those that are strategically important; and playing a key role as a liaison with other schools at MIT and beyond.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor's degree; at least three years’ administrative, operations, and/or project management experience; project and time management experience; strong organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and quality; experience with prioritization and the creation of options used to work towards long-term solutions; comfort presenting in front of groups; discretion and good judgment with confidential information/issues; and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to identify and learn new software as needed.  Seek a proactive and self-motivated individual who can independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; develop, track, and communicate strategic goals; and clearly and concisely communicate with VIPs, donors, students, faculty, staff, and visitors.  Job #24365-8

Must be able to work flexible hours during peak periods.

Salary range:  $73,490 - 98,283 - 123,075, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity.  Generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check.
