Job Description

FUNDS INFORMATION ASSOCIATE, Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF)-Office of the Recording Secretary (RSO), to provide leadership, oversight, and quality assurance that enables accurate acceptance and recording of gifts to the Institute.  Will ensure all aspects of institutional information are captured and formally recorded efficiently and in accordance with donor intent; and interact with various constituencies, including gift officers, senior leadership, and finance and investment partners.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor's degree; at least two years of professional experience in at least one of the following--gift administration, finance, accounting, governance of charitable funds, or nonprofit operations; at least one year of experience delivering customer service; experience working with databases and data entry (preferably including familiarity with SQL or other programming languages), advanced-level knowledge of MS Excel, and comfort using MS Word and Outlook; experience acting as a resource to guide a range of constituents through a complex administrative or financial landscape; meticulous attention to detail, deadlines, and follow-up; excellent organizational, relationship management, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; and discretion and tact with confidential information.  Must be able to work strategically on complex issues and with multiple resources to find solutions; form partnerships with a variety of constituencies; and adapt to new programs in an emerging and changing environment.  PREFERRED:  familiarity with the Ellucian CRM Advance gift system or similar fundraising database, experience developing policies and procedures in a legal or fundraising context; experience with database querying and data manipulation tools; professional experience in a higher education or nonprofit environment, experience using relational databases, and familiarity with policies related to 501(c)(3) organizations.  Job #24252-6
