Job Description

MANAGER, DLC DIRECT, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to serve as a liaison and trusted partner to the MIT community to ensure the successful achievement of the team’s goals.  Will play a critical role in ensuring the development and maintenance of collaborative relationships with cross-functional IS&T teams and departments, labs, centers, and institutes (DLCIs) across MIT; manage and foster a customer-focused team that will increase customer satisfaction, deepen client relationships, and effectively manage the expectations of a diverse customer base while ensuring continued success of team operations; and ensure daily ticket resolution and management while continuously reviewing current work methodologies to identify and implement new modes of operations, resources, and/or processes.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least seven years of experience in IT support services, information systems, computer science, or related field; an equal amount of experience successfully supporting both Mac and Windows operating systems; experience working with a CRM platform (ServiceNow preferred); experience with endpoint management (e.g., JSS, MECM, etc.); experience with inventory control and cost projections; diplomacy; operational agility; ability to work as part of a team; and excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and vendors, sometimes in stressful situations.  PREFERRED: experience in a higher education environment and leadership or management experience.  Job #24237-11

Starting salary range: $115,000 - 125,000

This is a hybrid position with a minimal onsite presence of twice a month (may be weekly dependant upon project work).
