Job Description

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST, Division of Student Life (DSL), to be responsible for supporting the delivery of effective financial services to DSL units, directors, and senior leadership.  Will work collaboratively with departmental leadership to assist in managing financial resources; function as a business partner to support strategy development and decision-making through financial modeling and data analysis; oversee the preparation and analysis of various report packages; help develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans and implement budget policies; and act as a resource for the finance and accounting group, answering questions about budget, financial, and business performance and assisting with resolving policy and procedural issues.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in a related field; six years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and business partnering roles, including experience in finance, financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, and managing complex business processes; high-level proficiency with financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and Excel; knowledge of/experience with financial systems/software and extracting data from relational databases; meticulous attention to detail; and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Seek a self-starter who is able to both function with independence and work seamlessly as part of a team in a hybrid/remote work environment; effectively engage, build relationships with, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization; and navigate uncertainty, making calculated risks and conveying messages that may challenge preferred approaches. PREFERRED:  MBA/master’s degree and proficiency with SAP, Cognos, Tableau, or similar software.  Job #24236-10

Salary range: $110,000 -125,000, depending on relevant experience and education
