Job Description

RESEARCH SCIENTIST IBiology-Vos Lab, to join a research team studying how gene expression and genome architecture are coupled. The work will involve protein expression, protein purification, molecular cloning, cell culture work, and structure determination. The group uses biochemical and structural approaches including X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM and single molecule experiments to analyze how machines involved in gene expression and genome organization interact and regulate each other’s activity. The successful candidate will lead an individual project and will be a member of a larger, collaborative team.  

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, or related field; at least two years of work experience in a biochemistry/structural biology laboratory; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. PREFERRED: experience with molecular cloning, cell culture, protein purification, biochemical assays, and de novo structure determination.  Job #24100
