Posting Description

SHIFT LEADER, EVENING MEMBER SERVICES AND OPERATIONS - ALUMNI/WANG, DAPER Recreation, will lead the customer service team on the day-to-day operations at the Alumni Pool & Wang Fitness Center. This position is responsible for ensuring facility access security and safety, supervising on-shift staff, performing registrations for memberships and instructional programs, provides towel service, serves as a backup lifeguard, provides customer service support, and resolves conflict. Ultimately, this position will ensure all aspects of their shift run smoothly and effectively. The Shift Leader will be crossed trained to work all frontline positions and must be open and flexible to work during all operational hours at both the Alumni/Wang Center and the Zesiger Center.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High School Diploma; a minimum of three years of customer service experience; experience with Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Excel, and Word; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent at multi-tasking while possessing a professional demeanor and attitude; American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding, or an ability to obtain within 60 days; and be team oriented and self-motivated. PREFERRED: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Operations, Recreation Management or related field; or experience with a point-of-sale system.

The position is scheduled to work 1:30PM – 9:30PM, Monday – Friday.
