Posting Description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Blueprint Labs, to research the history, social implications, and future of technology. The Postdoctoral Associate will be part of the James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Center on Inequality and Shaping the Future of Work, an organization co-founded by Professors Acemoglu and Johnson (with David Autor) that studies the effects of technological change on economic outcomes and will work closely with Daron Acemoglu and Simon Johnson and a range of collaborators at other universities along with a research team of pre-doctoral researchers based at MIT.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Ph.D. in history, sociology, economics, public policy, political science, or a related field; a demonstrated track record of conducting historical analysis, including the use of archives, data and econometrics; and strong management, communication, and technical skills. PREFERRED: Ph. D in sociology or history.

The position is based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA.

The Postdoctoral Associate will receive a full-time, one-year appointment that is renewable annually. An employment term of at least two years is strongly preferred.
