Posting Description

MANAGER OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION, EHS, Environment, Health & Safety Office, to be responsible for administering support staff personnel, recruitment, employment, and payroll functions within department(s); advising directors on financial matters; developing budgets and financial projections; monitoring and reconciling all departmental cost objects; developing reports for annual budget allocation process, strategic plans, annual President's Report and other activities; planning and implementing space changes; providing support and acting as a resource to new staff; managing and overseeing financial, personnel, facilities, and general administrative affairs for the EHS Headquarters, the EHS Office, and the associated programs; functioning as an active member of the EHS Headquarters Team, acting as administrative liaison between EHS Headquarters and Institute administrative and fiscal offices, as well as outside agencies and organizations; assisting in establishing, revising, interpreting, and implementing departmental administrative and operational policies and procedures; acting as Primary Financial Authorizer for EHS Office/EHS Headquarters’, associated EHS Programs, and DLC EHS Coordinators; acting as Human Resources Primary Authorizer for EHS Office/EHS Headquarters Office and associated EHS Programs; participating in Department Strategic Planning; conducting strategic planning and implements and directs plans for effectively and efficiently performing administrative support for the EHS Office; and other duties as assigned by the Managing Director or Director of Operations & Management System.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience; an additional minimum of five years of experience in an administrative setting, preferably in personnel administration or human resources; excellent oral and written communication skills; and ability to handle confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment. PREFERRED: solid computer skills and experience using MS Office. Job #25004-10
