ASSET MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), initiates collection activities on retail loans: including auto loans, home equity loans, mortgage loans, student loans, overdraft privilege and negative share accounts in accordance with MIT Federal Credit Union policies and applicable collection laws.  Performs all functions, within scope of authority and expertise to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to the members of the MIT Federal Credit Union.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Two years’ experience in collections with knowledge of general credit union/banking operations; three years’ experience in a credit union/bank; experience in auto repossession and handling delinquent real estate loans; familiarity with real estate investor collection and modification requirements. Must be and remain bondable. Working knowledge on collecting past due accounts; related collection and bankruptcy laws; RESPA servicing delinquent mortgage loans and loss mitigation; collecting on inhouse Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and FHA loans. Familiar with skip tracing and other collection resources, and collection systems. Job #24975-4
