Posting Description

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, Institute for Medical Engineering and Science, to join our interdisciplinary team working at the intersection of biomechanics and artistic expression studying the role of elastic tissues in performance, aesthetics, and injury. Will conduct human subjects data collection in biomechanics research; operate specialized equipment including motion capture systems, force plates, ultrasound scanners, and physiological sensors; manage participant relationships, including recruitment, scheduling, results communication and follow-up; perform data management tasks: including export and organize multimodal data, maintain backup systems, data annotation and cleaning; manage and periodically update research protocols related to the ethics board approval process.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field; a minimum of two years of relevant experience in research; robust technical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment/software; excellent organizational and communication skills; and attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols. PREFERRED: Experience with human subjects research; and python programming experience. Job #24856
