The Comprehensive Lung Cancer Program leader will also assume a leadership role at the MCW Cancer Center. The qualified candidate will have an outstanding record of research accomplishments and significant extramural or clinical trial funding. The candidate is expected to maintain a vigorous, creative, laboratory-based or clinical trial funded research program. The successful candidate will have an exceptional opportunity to develop collaborative research programs across the MCW campus. In addition to an Endowed Chair, this position comes with a competitive start-up package.

The Cancer Service Line is the largest in the health system portfolio, delivering high-quality cancer care to over 7,000 unique new patients annually and follow-up care to a substantial portion of cancer patients in Southeast Wisconsin. F&MCW is the inpatient and outpatient market share leader in cancer care in our catchment area of Eastern Wisconsin. Supported by a multi-disciplinary care service line, a precision oncology clinic, an early phase unit and an expanding state-of-the-art clinical trials office, this position is expected to significantly expand the lung cancer clinical trial portfolio. Cancer is the top strategic priority of F&MCW. Interdisciplinary clinical services include collaboration with pulmonary and interventional bronchoscopy, diagnostic and interventional radiology (including an expanding lung cancer screening program) and pathology across the health system as well as genetic counseling, a smoking cessation program and robust supportive care and social services. Approximately 450 new unique patients with lung cancer are seen at the academic cancer center, about 175 are seen at other network sites. More than 20,000 patient visits occur in the lung program across all sites annually.
