Position Description:
The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) and Children’s Specialty Group (CSG) are seeking a board certified / board eligible physician to join its Pediatric Palliative Care team. The academic appointment at MCW will be commensurate with experience.

About Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin:

The Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is one of the nation’s top pediatric facilities.  CHW is a 306-bed pediatric hospital and ACS Level I Pediatric Trauma Center that provides comprehensive care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents and adults with congenital disease.  It is one of the busiest pediatric hospitals in the nation, with 73 NICU beds, 72 PICU beds (including 24 CICU beds and 48 medical/surgical beds), 24,000 annual admissions and more than 20,000 surgical procedures annually.  The PICU has over 300 annual admissions and our Division consists of 28 physicians and 18 critical care advanced practice providers. 

In 2013, Parents magazine rated CHW No. 4 in the nation in its “Best Children's Hospitals” survey.  The hospital is designated a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a national honor that recognizes nursing excellence. CHW is the home of The Herma Heart Center. Heart care at CHW was ranked #5 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in their 2014-15 Best Children's Hospitals Report and has received the Society of Thoracic Surgery 3 Star rating.

 

About Children’s Specialty Group:

Children’s Specialty Group is the largest pediatric group practice in Wisconsin, and consists of more than 500 physicians and advanced practice providers in approximately 34 specialties who practice at CHW and outreach clinics throughout Wisconsin. It comprises approximately one third of the clinical faculty of MCW.  It is a separate 503c entity and a joint venture of MCW and CHHS.
