The Clinical Lab Scientist performs all aspects of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of the laboratory as defined by CLIA. Independently performs laboratory testing on patients of all ages using professional knowledge of laboratory procedures in an accurate and timely manner. Follows all laboratory and hospital policies and procedures including, but not limited to, general processes, safety, fire, disaster plans, infection control, and quality.
Bachelors degree. Must have state approved certification per GA Rule 290-9-8 such as MT(ASCP), MLS (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MT (AAB) certification or equivalent required. Extensive organizational skills. Basic computer knowledge.
Experience in using Cerner, any LIS, Microsoft software, Outlook, Remisol, etc.
