HBN Restaurants Ltd are a franchise of McDonald’s, established in 2001. We currently operate eleven restaurants throughout Cumbria and North Lancashire.
With over 1000 employees, and an ever-growing business, we are currently looking to recruit Assistant Managers across the region.
We offer a starting annual salary of £24,000, six weeks annual leave, and a yearly performance related pay review. Add to that a structured training plan, regular performance appraisals, private medical cover, service milestone awards, a meal allowance, and a discount scheme.
Successful applicants will embark on the Assistant Manager trainee programme which is the first step to managing one of our eleven restaurants. Last year we welcomed over six million guests, and each site employs a team of 50-140 people. From day one, you’ll be based on the shop floor learning how each area of the business works. One minute you’ll be serving customers, the next you’ll be learning about stock control. You’ll work alongside our Crew, Crew Trainers, Customer Care teams, Shift Leaders and Assistant Managers, as well as the Restaurant Business Manager whilst you complete an intensive initial training period. It takes up to six months to complete the initial stages of the trainee programme, and after successfully completing the training period and relevant courses, you’ll be promoted to a fully qualified Assistant Manager and become part of the core restaurant management team. The next steps could involve promotion to Senior Assistant Manager, Business Manager and beyond.
Open to Graduates and those with experience of working in a customer facing environment or managing teams – you’ll want to provide a great experience for each of our customers and be passionate about training and developing your teams. You’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting involved with each area of the restaurant and be a really quick learner, as there’s a lot to pick up in a short space of time. A logical mind and great people skills are really important too.
We'll give you the training, knowledge, skills and confidence. Apply determination, hard work and ambition, and you’ll complete the training period and be ready for promotion to fully qualified Assistant Manager. You’ll be required to learn a lot and apply what you have learnt, and to always lead by example. It’s a challenging and diverse role, so being self-motivated and open to change really helps. As this role is working for a franchise of one of the most successful global brands, you’ll also be required to adhere to all our policies and procedures and to focus on providing a great customer experience at all times.
