Position Description The Compliance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring Gas Control operations at Kinder Morgan comply with the Control Room Management (CRM) requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT), Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulations. This role requires a highly organized, self-directed professional capable of interpreting federal requirements and maintaining Gas Control training, standards, and procedures.Compliance ManagementMonitor and interpret DOT PHMSA regulations and compliance requirementsPrepare for and represent Gas Control during audits and inspectionsMaintain and update Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and CRM proceduresManage records, documentation, and compliance deadlinesDevelop tools and processes to ensure alignment with regulatoryTrack and document compliance deviationsPrepare monthly compliance reports and support management initiativesConduct workload analysisParticipate in incident investigations on behalf of pipeline managementTraining and DevelopmentDeliver training to new controllersConduct annual compliance trainingDevelop, update, and maintain training materials and programs to ensure relevancyServe as Learning Management System (LMS) administratorProctor Operator Qualification (OQ) exams and manage evaluation and renewal recordsOperational SupportRepresent Gas Control in SCADA system changes and related projectsSupport software enhancements that improve pipeline safety, efficiency, and complianceReview controller activities and workload analyses to ensure safe operationsSupport department-wide goals, incident investigations, and lessons learnedSystems and Process AdministrationSharePointSCADAOps AlertPipeline Nearby / PSAPKMCRAJIRACrisis and Business ContinuityServe as Business Continuity Plan CoordinatorPlan and coordinate control room operations during emergencies and system upgradesCoordinate and document testing of backup SCADA systems, manual procedures, relocation backup sites, and emergency response protocolsCollaboration and CommunicationCollaborate across departments to support compliance and operational needsMaintain Gas Control portals and essential resourcesRespond to requests from regulatory agencies, such as PHMSAImplement process improvements in response to regulatory and industry changes
