The incumbent will report directly to the Director of IT Business Solutions and will be responsible for supporting and developing operational, commercial, and financial business intelligence (BI) and business process automation solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical ability, and the capacity to work independently on complex assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development & Support

  • Gather, interpret, and translate business requirements into technical specifications for new and existing solutions, including bolt‑on applications, system interfaces, reporting, data collection, data warehousing, and business analytics tools.
  • Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise BI and data analytics solutions in collaboration with the IT AI‑BI Team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and business process issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintain current documentation for all supported solutions and processes.
  • Ensure solutions align with organizational strategy, IT standards, and security policies.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with a variety of business and IT groups—including Commercial, Contract Administration, Nominations/Scheduling, Gas Control, System Design, Account Services, Business Development, Financial Planning, Risk Management, DBAs, Infrastructure, Network Security, and others—to design and support BI solutions.
  • Provide clear communication and updates to management and stakeholders as needed.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities for system optimization, process improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and refine procedures to improve system performance and meet evolving business needs.
  • Maintain awareness of industry innovations, best practices, and emerging technologies applicable to BI and automation.

Additional Expectations

  • Work independently with minimal supervision, seeking guidance only on unusually complex issues.
  • Must be a fast learner within either technical or business aspects
  • May be required to work non‑traditional hours or respond to urgent issues outside regular business hours.
  • Uphold company standards for safety, change management, and application governance.



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL, Power BI, SSRS, Excel, and Python.
  • Proven ability to write, analyze, and maintain complex SQL, DAX, and Python scripts.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work in deadline‑driven, high‑pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain a high standard of work quality.
  • Strong adherence to IT standards, change management procedures, and best practices.
  • High regard for personal and organizational safety.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience in the interstate natural gas industry (e.g., marketing, contracting, scheduling, nominations, allocations, invoicing) and/or supporting the KM DART transportation system.
  • Background in Oil & Gas industry or pipeline operations.
  • Strong understanding of database design and optimization.
  • Experience with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot, and BI modeling (tabular and cube).
  • Familiarity with Palantir Foundry.

*Position may be filled at various levels depending on experience and job skills of successful candidate.

Pay range: $121,000 -$181,800 per year. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
