Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking an ESP Ops Technician for the SACROC/LDMU EOR Fields in Snyder, TX. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of all Submersible Lift Equipment and Producing wells in the SACROC and LDMU Fields.

 

 Job Description:

-    Provide the SACROC/LDMU Production Departments support on all Submersible lift equipment and its wells.

-    Monitor Producing well performance via trends through SCADA and Centinel Data.

-    Tracks weekly performance of both Baker Hughes and Levar pump equipment.

-    Prepare an excel formatted weekly Submersible Pump KPI field report to include failures and runtimes and total well counts. SACROC/LDMU.

-    Attend Teardowns in Midland Texas witness and provide a root-cause failure analysis.

-    Consult with third party labs on reoccurring ESP issues, ex. Metallurgist on reoccurring shaft failures.

-    Consult with both Baker Hughes and Leaver on all ESP operational changes.

-    Consult with Midland Engineers on new ESP designs. Assist in sizing pump equipment utilizing previous performance and or reservoir conditions.

-    Work daily with Area Supervisors, Area Technicians, Area Engineers to improve ESP operations.

-    Leads and Directs Baker Hughes and Levar personnel daily on any operational changes proposed by Area engineers to pumps and equipment.

-    Offers support and training to new operators on Submersible pump operations.

-    Attend weekly ESP review meetings with engineers and Baker on Mondays at 1:30

-    Responsible for surveillance cameras at various locations and relocating as needed.

-    Rig Visits, witnesses’ Submersible equipment pulls and installs as time permits.

-    Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance.

-    Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the public.



 Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

-    Minimum 10 years’ experience in Enhanced Oil Recovery and Submersible Lift experience.

-    Excellent planning and organization skills.

-    Excel /Microsoft Word a must.

-    Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-    Effective communication skills, particularly in the areas of Submersible lift operations.

-    Ability to contribute and work in a team environment.

-    Take on call rotations every 6 weeks and be within 30 minutes of both SACROC and LDMU Fields

-    5 to 10 years’ Experience in Submersible Lift applications Drives and Equipment.

-    Ability to diagnose problems with such equipment to minimize production impacts.

-    Working knowledge of computer programs Excel and Microsoft

-    Excellent planning and organization skills.

-    Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-     Effective communication skills, particularly in the areas of lease operations and projects.

-    Ability to contribute and work in a team environment.

-    Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and carry a cell phone.

-    Ability to troubleshoot ESP operational issues as they arise.

-    Knowledgeable of WAG related Injection switches, and how they relate producer performance.

-    Thorough understanding of EOR Production Process and Equipment.

-    Previous or current experience with CO2 Production Process facilities.

-    Previous or current experience with LOTO, MOC, PHA and PSSR’s documentation and process.

-    Spill reporting and documentation.
