Primary purpose:
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Position Requirements Education:MS in geoscience. Experience / specific knowledge:3 years in the oil and gas and/or pipeline industry. Certifications:Not required Competencies, skills, and abilities:Knowledge of Permian Basin geologyExperience in development geologyAbility to communicate and present complex topics to broad audienceWork closely with engineering and financial staff to develop economic projectsAbility to work independently as well as mentoring colleaguesExpert user of Petra geological softwareFamiliarity with the application of modeling, petrophysical and geophysical work flowsProficient in English writing and presentation skillsJob level will be determined based on the successful candidates skills and qualificationsPrevious work in CO2 EOR or CCUS Development Physical demands:Predominantly office environment with some travel to field operations and remote sites Working conditions:Primarily office. Working after hours, nights, weekends, holidays as needed Supervisory responsibility:N/A Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:MS degree in geology.
