ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, I&E Supervisor, and Plant Engineer in improving operations and ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency at SGP.
• Assist management and engineering in meeting PSM requirements.
• Prepare Management of Change Documentation.
• Participate in, or lead, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA’s) and prepare reports
• Participate in, or lead, PreStartup Safety Review (PSSR) and prepare reports
• Troubleshoot and assist engineering with root cause analysis of rotating and fixed equipment, including piping/mechanical/auxiliary systems.
• Provide hands-on support to resolve operations-related problems as they occur.
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Monitor SCADA and DCS data and trends to prioritize inspections, assist in Root Cause Analysis, and support recommended corrective actions.
• Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully.
• Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email.
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance.
• Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
• Perform on-site supervision for plant projects
• Aid in operator training
• Daily reporting duties
• Other daily, weekly and monthly duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE / SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
• At least one year experience in operating a gas processing plant, or equivalent experience in a similar industry, is required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Subject to random drug testing.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications (including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other assigned computer programs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to work from written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules, and adhere to established work schedules.
• Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, maintain confidentiality as necessary, and work effectively with limited supervision.
• Must be highly self-motivated, dependable, and punctual.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds, waist high, on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs/ladders, sometimes to elevated platforms.
• Must be able to negotiate uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces.
• Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Call-out and unscheduled overtime is required and anticipated.
• Emergency response and on-call availability is required and anticipated.
• Must be able to work outside in varying, sometimes extreme, weather conditions.
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including a motor vehicle record, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
