Support KM Regulatory Advocacy mission by attending trade group meetings, coordinating commenting efforts with KM SMEs, and communicating highlights of activities weekly and leading KMs monthly regulatory review process. Manage compliance staff supporting EHS Compliance Systems. - Monitor regulatory agencies for proposed and final changes in Environmental, Employee Health and Safety, and other regulations relevant to EHS.
- Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, PHMSA regulations, with the ability to make interpretations of applicability.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory structure associated with environmental, safety and health compliance.
- Demonstrated experience performing regulatory analysis including interpretation and applicability of environmental regulations.
- Provide written summaries of proposed and final regulatory changes.
- Adhering to the monthly regulatory update policy and process
- Manage RegScan account and annual contract.
- Manage Contractors supporting Mexico Regulation Review and translation.
- Prepare regulatory analyses/summaries on applicable regulations as requested. Be able to provide uniform regulatory compliance information to facility managers and operators in an easy-to-understand-and-follow format, such as compliance checklists.
- Assist/Coordinate/Lead internal KM groups when developing or taking part in regulatory comments.
- Administer the Monthly Regulatory Verification application, including monthly reporting of regulatory updates and status on verification of applicable rules.
- Familiarity with tracking regulatory changes, using solutions such as RegScan, STP, Cyber Regs, E&E News, as well as Federal and State Register updates.
- Track information from trade associations and be able to communicate urgent items across the organization.
- Prepare PowerPoint slides with regulatory updates for Board of Directors and Management Meetings.
- Assist/coordinate the development of cost of implementation analysis or new regulation with impact to KM Business Units
Supporting KM Participation with Trade Groups - Attend and participate in assigned trade group meetings. Track and coordinate with SMEs on committees, potentially attend meetings, send out or track materials and comments.
- Responsible for annual reporting on annual Trade Association Membership dues/fees.
- Twice per year review of trade group membership participation, keeping track of committee leads, members, and board members.
- Manage the KM EHS Policy process.
- Responsible for administering the EHS Policy, initiate the Annual review process, follow up and coordinate with SMEs across OSG and BUs
- Mediate policy changes submitted throughout the year - follow process for change requests utilizing MOC application.
Manage Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Systems
- Work closely with the information technology (IT) department and third-party vendors on EMS application development, upgrades, and projects.
- Responsible for maintenance of EHS extranet and intranet web pages.
- Manage and provide supervision of multiple EHS Compliance System staff and contractors with compliance, training, and Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities.
- Coordinate with other departments including Human Resources, Procurement, IT, Legal and Operations to successfully complete projects.
Other Responsibilities: - Deconstruct internal policies, agency permits, and regulatory requirements from engineering and legal vernacular to words and terms that someone without professional training in the subject area can understand and act upon.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures.
- Proactively plan, organize and oversee assigned work programs.
- Deal with a wide variety of people and personalities with tact, courtesy and professionalism across multiple business units, including, but not limited to, all levels of management, vendors and customers.

EDUCATION: - BS or BA in Engineering, Physical or Environmental Science, or related field.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS: - Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in EHS or related field
- In addition to the degree preference, a minimum of 2 to 5 years’ direct and active work experience with EHS regulations and the implementation of IT systems is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft applications and database software, specifically including, and not limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with reporting in SSRS.
- Working knowledge of Maximo, SPHERA HSM, Litmos LMS and internet search engines.
- Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict and sometimes simultaneous deadlines.
- Must be a team player who is able to work within a group, take directions from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, exhibit excellent follow-through, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
- Ability to successfully perform the required and expected duties with minimal direct supervision.
- Must be able to work autonomously as the situation dictates.
- Customer Service Oriented must be and have good organizational and time management skills.
- Possess and consistently demonstrate well-developed organizational skills, including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

WORKING CONDITIONS: - Travel across a broad geographic region (multiple states) is required. Travel by automobile or commercial aircraft is required for meetings at other corporate offices and operations facilities. Travel is anticipated as 10-20%.
