Responsibilities and activities will include the coordination and execution of emissions testing and general emissions analysis. Candidate will be responsible for analysis, data reduction and reporting of results, which will be used for satisfaction of regulatory requirements and input to operational decisions. Data analysis requires understanding of thermodynamic and chemistry as well as the ability to statistically manage, reduce and scrutinize large amounts of data. Job Responsibilities: - Travel (50%‐75%), often overnight, to contractor or Kinder Morgan sites for engine air emissions testing as well as to attend meetings and conferences. Weekend travel is occasionally required.
- This position has the opportunity to work a hybrid work schedule, when travel or other work is not required, with Monday through Wednesday in the office and Thursday and Friday at home. This position also has the opportunity, but not always guaranteed, to work a flexible work schedule with 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and every other Friday off.
- Lead and assist in the performance of state and federally required air emissions testing.
- Lead and assist in the maintenance and general upkeep of the testing group’s emissions testing trailers.
- Lead and assist in the development and submittal of permit required state and federal air emission test protocols and test reports before the mandated reporting deadline.
- Lead and assist with air permit reviews and data requests.
- Specify and procure instrumentation used in upgrades to the emissions trailers.
- Provide technical expertise in engine air emissions technologies, process and levels of emissions for different engine types.
- Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
- Organize work for timely completion and be available for overtime work if required.
- Use personal judgment and specialized knowledge to provide and safeguard confidential information.
- Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
- Maintain a high degree of attention to detail.
- Be capable of managing multiple assignments with various deadlines and responsibility levels concurrently.

Education Requirements: - A 4‐year engineering or science degree from an accredited school.
- Five years commensurate experience with emphasis in EPA field testing, technical analysis as described may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
Requirements: - Proficiency in basic engineering skills.
- Specific knowledge in natural gas compression engine operation
- Knowledge of Wonderware InTouch, or other programming languages needed to communicate with the unit automation. Able to learn new programming skills as needed.
- Proficient in basic PC operations, including word‐processing and spreadsheets.
- Familiarity and ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams, including flow charts, cause/effect diagrams, and Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&ID’s).
- Must be able to work cooperatively with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
- Recent graduate candidates
OR
- A minimum of two years practical experience in testing of emissions, equipment, or process
- Experience and knowledge with natural gas compression and/or processing facilities and equipment
- Knowledge and/or application experience with federal air regulations
- Knowledge of natural gas storage facilities and treatment processes
- Advanced computer skills
