Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2, and other products. Our terminals transload and store liquid commodities including petroleum products, ethanol and chemicals, and bulk products, including petroleum coke, metals, and ores.

 

Position Description:

 

Manage Procurement and Administration department’s annual budget process, monthly reporting, forecasting, capital projects, and corporate real estate tenant and sub-tenant records. Position works closely with Vice President of Procurement and Administration and RC owners to review variances, make forecast adjustments, and perform analysis as needed.

 

Job Duties:

  • Financial management of 9 G&A RC’s and 6 O&M RC’s
  • Manage labor expenses including vacancy lag and headcount tracking
  • Manage budget and forecast process for G&A expenses and sustaining capital projects
  • Manage department allocations, including annual review for appropriateness
  • Manage monthly and quarterly variance reporting and subsequent reporting to corporate planning
  • Manage internal and external audit requests, including IA, PwC, tenants, and joint ventures
  • Work closely with corporate planning, corporate accounting, property accounting, and the tax department to resolve issues
  • Act as department financial lead for acquisitions and divestitures, including management of any one-time items
  • Manage operating expense calculation and billing, including annual true up with tenants
  • Responsible for all Facilities RC transactions, analysis, and reporting.
  • Supervise Facilities accounts payable and tenant accounts receivable invoice processing, and maintain amortization schedules for rental income
  • Supervise department’s monthly close process, including accruals and journal entries
  • Prepare cost modeling as required for both O&M and capital projects
  • Develop and maintain tools for data gathering analysis and reporting
  • Act as subject matter expert on corporate budget and forecasting systems



Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of personnel across many disciplines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to identify root causes and potential solutions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven financial modeling skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Exposure to corporate real estate lease agreements preferred
  • Experience with Lawson and Essbase preferred

Position may be filled at the Supervisor or Manager level depending on the experience of the candidate.

Working conditions:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

  • Position has two direct reports
