Primary purpose: To comply with all training provided to enable employee to perform operations required in accordance with Kinder Morgan work instructions and government regulations (EPA, FRA and OSHA).
 
 
 Essential duties and responsibilities:
  

- Operate terminal equipment to include, but not limited to, cranes, bulldozer, front end loader, fork truck, conveyors.

- Load and unload cargo from ships, railcar and trucks

- Perform daily maintenance checks on assigned equipment

- Participate in company training and safety programs

- Perform general labor duties

Because this position requires donning ½ mask respirator, employees must pass a respiratory fit test and screening as a condition of employment.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: 

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience / Specific knowledge: 

Experience operating heavy equipment, including cranes, bulldozers, front end loaders, fork trucks and conveyors

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
  
Competencies, skills, and abilities:

- Must be able to understand and comply with all requirements for any emergency

- Must be able to understand and comply with oral and written instructions, in English

- Must be able to take direction / supervision and work cooperatively with other people
 
Physical Demands:

- Must be able to routinely climb ladders and work at heights of up to 80' and down ladders up to 50' in the holds of ships

- Must be able to lift / carry up to 50#

- Must be able to sweep, shovel, use hand tools

- Must be able to wear Kinder Morgan supplied Personal Protective Equipment, when applicable

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

 Working Conditions:
- Must be willing and able to work all shifts, including extended hours / days / weekends/ holidays as needed

-Will be subject to working in varying and extreme weather conditions
-Must be willing to join Teamsters Local 377

-Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
