Kinder Morgan, Inc. is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 79,000 miles of pipelines and over 139 terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2 and other products, and our terminals trans load and store liquid commodities including petroleum products, ethanol and chemicals, and bulk products, including petroleum coke, metals, and ores.

The successful candidate will work with all levels of staff and management to support, manage and provide guidance on fleet services across company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Approve or escalate maintenance requests based on assessment and company guidelines.
  • Coordinate with drivers, fleet management company, and vendors to execute approved maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and track the progress of maintenance activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist drivers in resolving any issues encountered with maintenance to ensure timely and effective service.
  • Drive fleet standardization and national account usage to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
  • Prepare detailed reports on fleet maintenance activities, including cost analysis, downtime, and performance metrics.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing maintenance strategies and vehicle lifecycle management.
  • Lead, manage, and facilitate initiatives to streamline processes and elevate fleet performance.
  • Facilitate meetings to understand operational needs and provide fleet perspective.
  • Perform accounting and finance activities to support the fleet including invoice reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting for fleet managed expenses.
  • Job level will commensurate with experience. 



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Accounting, or other related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a vehicle maintenance or Fleet Analyst environment is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a fleet analyst role required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

  • Familiar with the management of vehicle and equipment specifications, maintenance, and fleet maintenance systems.
  • Working knowledge of Commercial Motor Vehicle, Federal and State requirements, and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building relationships with internal customers and vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Able to lead or work effectively in a team and take direction from management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions based on findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication (written and oral), presentation and organization skills.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, safety of company assets and employees and the public.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Fleet Management and ERP systems.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:

  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification.
  • Certified Fleet Manager (CFM) or similar certification.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to company and its insurers (for travel)

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Based in Houston, TX
  • Required to carry a company provided cell phone and respond to calls as needed during working and non-working hours.
  • Some travel will be required, estimated around 5% of time
