EDUCATION:
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or ten to fifteen years’ experience and/or training in field construction management related to heavy industrial petrochemical construction; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of petroleum terminal piping, valves, tanks, and pumping systems
• Knowledge of welding procedures for API storage tanks and petroleum piping systems, welding inspection certifications desirable
• Knowledge of coating systems used in petroleum terminals, tanks and piping systems
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:
• API 653 certification or ability to obtain
• DOT O.Q. qualifications for pipeline maintenance
• Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
• Willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment
• Must pass and complete Safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facilities and as required by Kinder Morgan at all locations
• Must obtain and/or meet all requirements to enter foreign trade zones; such as background checks by both the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security, i.e. obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) within 8 weeks from hire.

• The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed

• Computer skills; knowledge of Internet Explorer software; Microsoft Windows Operating system; excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Must be willing and able to work in the outside in the plant environment, in all types of climatic conditions.
• Travel to other field or corporate locations may be required depending on nature of ongoing work activities
