This position is a key position within the Regulatory Department at Kinder Morgan, and reports to the Director of Regulatory. Primary responsibilities will be:• To research and coordinate communication of regulatory matters internally and externally.• Develop and implement policies, procedures and reporting as it pertains to standards, management systems and other projects required by regulations• Develop and implement a risk assessment program • Identify regulatory matters as they pertain to ongoing commercial development activities and prepare regulatory analysis to be incorporated into commercial decisions• Internal communication among a wide range of departments within the organization • Internal communication with various levels of the organization• External communication with government and regulatory bodies and industry associations• Technical writing• Develop timelines, coordinate the assignment of tasks, establish regular communication and follow up to ensure timely and efficient completion• Interpret regulations and translate the requirements into business terms
• University graduate with 5-10 years experience.• Direct experience or familiarity with regulation in the energy industry • A background in regulatory or risk analysis would be preferred. • Consideration would also be given to experience in economics, environmental, legal.
