The ATS-Home Health performs all accounting tasks related to patient accounts for the home health line of business.   This includes eligibility reviews of payer information and accurate entry of payer information necessary to bill for services. Review of all home health patient accounts and work to maintain receivables at a minimum number of days.  The ATS-Home Health is responsible for maintaining updated knowledge of Medicare PDGM payment methodology and any other Federal or State regulations specific to the home health arena.

• Education and/or Experience:  Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prefer two (2) years of computerized medical billing in the home health setting.  Minimum requirement is one year experience in a home health billing setting.
• Good communication and writing skills are essential.  Customer service experience is desirable.
• Data entry and computer skills are essential.  Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and insurance billing as related to home health is required including understanding of RAPs, PDGM and HIPPS for Medicare/Medicare Advantage plans.  Experience in working with ICD 10 coding, CPTs and HCPCS is desirable.
• Computer skills should include billing programs, accounting programs, spreadsheet applications, and word processing.
