Position Description:
Position Purpose:
This position ensures that Workforce Management (WFM) initiatives are fully supported with the appropriate process, tools, and metrics.  This is accomplished by using rigorous process, research, and data analysis, adherence to formal project management and methodology working with our business and IT partners. The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for supporting implementation efforts of our system transformation  This role will partner with our end users to ensure changes brought by the new system can be effectively communicated and concerns ahead of go-live can be mitigated as best as possible within the system. 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • 10% Organize and lead current and to be business processes using business and systems expertise, and accepted procedures and methodologies
  • 20% Document business requirements and work with both IT and business partners on appropriate design decisions
  • 10% Participate in appropriate steps within the solution development lifecycle to ensure functional requirements are met and meetings are facilitated with functional SMEs, peers, management, and other key stakeholders
  • 20% Lead end to end implementation planning to include change management, training and support
  • 10% Facilitate aspects of individual projects to include work plans, issues resolution, and status reports
  • 10% Prepare, develop or configure programs and processes typically of moderate to high complexity
  • 10% Participate in and perform appropriate quality assurance testing
  • 10% Lead, coach and develop HRS Business Analyst and HRS Specialist as needed to accomplish business goals

Nature and Scope:
  • Typically reports to Manager HR Services or Sr. Manager HR Services
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.

Environmental Job Requirements:
1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Standard Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
4 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Established work experience using or supporting a Workforce Management System (particularly around scheduling) a must. Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) preferred.

    Knowledgeable of WFC Kronos and/or WFM processes and business practices preferably in either retail or service organization with large employee base and supported by distributed HR Management team(s).[LK1] Experience with formal project management techniques, systems development methodologies, and implementation of systems software (preferably HR, Payroll or Finance)
  • Exposure to facilitate/lead discussions with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), peers, management, and other key stakeholders to include work plans, issue resolutions and status reports.
  • Lead end to end implementation plans to include change management, training and support.
  • Active and engaged participant for the system development stages based on functional requirements as well as QA testing.
  • Document business requirements and processes at an advanced skill level
  • Must be flexible, willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks, and special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Project management experience
  • Solid communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective business relationships and build consensus
  • Knowledge of HR processes and supporting systems
  • Understanding of application development methodology
  • Sound business judgment, analytical skills and ability to effectively manage issues and risks
  • Effective consulting and facilitation skills
